D’Addy Award Winners Impress Springfield Business Owner

Pyro Advertising’s founder and president, Eric Deal, recently attended Drury University’s D’Addy Awards on May 1st. He had the opportunity to see work that impressed him greatly, and got some leads on possible interns from Drury’s advertising department. Deal was quoted as saying, “Some of the work was phenomenal. It looked like work that you would expect a designer with five years of real world work experience to produce. It was really quite outstanding.”

The D'Addy Awards are a spin off the Addy Awards, a national competition developed by the American Advertising Federation. Exclusively for Drury students, the awards recognize outstanding work in the areas of communication and graphic design. The event not only provides students with constructive comments from area professionals, it also allows students to showcase their talents among peers and the broader Drury community.

Students can enter media pieces from the range of communication fields, including advertising, broadcast, graphic design, journalism, public relations and speech communication.
